From BrawlQuest's Early Access 1.3.1 we'll be introducing damage fall off for staffs. This is in response to them being almost universally more powerful than melee weapons, even with minimal INT.
This alters depending on your range to the target location. Please see below for the new damage tables for Staff weapons.
New Ranged Damage Table
8m or more
Your ranged damage spells will deal only 1 damage at ranges greater than 7 meters, regardless of the weapon's values or your INT.
4m - 8m
Your ranged damage spells will deal only 1 - the weapon's value at ranges 4m - 7m regardless of your INT.
2m - 4m
Your ranged damage spells will deal only 1 - the weapon's value plus 1 - your INT value at a range of 2m or 3m.
Your ranged damage spells will deal the weapon's value plus 1 - your INT at 1m distance (this is the same as melee weapons).
In addition to the changes above staffs are now treated as being +1 weapons when used for melee. STR is still taken into account as per usual with melee combat.
